| Short Story - 8 - Group of Frogs |
Two frogs were out for a walk in the woods when they stumbled into a pit. The frogs on the other side of the pit, safe and sound, realised how deep the pit was and that there was no way the frogs could escape.
Both of these frogs began to attempt to escape the pit, but they were repeatedly stymied. It was impossible, said the frogs on the safe side, and they should stop trying.
After a while, one of the frogs gave up after hearing the others and died. The other frog, on the other hand, persisted and eventually made it to the top.
Some of the other frogs enquired of him, "Did you miss us?" To him, it seemed like the voices of the others were telling him it was time to leave.
Moral: You may be told by others around you to always play it safe and to quit attempting new things and taking chances. However, nothing worthwhile comes without some cost. So, regardless of what life throws at you, make an effort to succeed.
